The Jack Russell terrier is a small terrier that has its origins in fox hunting.
Predominantly white in coloration with black and/or tan markings.
Due to their working nature, Jack Russell terriers remain much as they were some 200 years ago.
They are sturdy, tough, and tenacious.
The Jack Russell is an energetic breed which relies on a high level of exercise and stimulation.
Despite their small size, these dogs are not recommended for small spaces,
unless the owner is ready to take on the daunting task of providing the dog with the necessary amount of exercise and stimulation.

Laika was found as a stray wandering the streets of Moscow when she was chosen for the sovietic space program. Laika was the first animal to orbit the Earth, she did it on board the Sputnik 2, the 3rd of November, 1957, Laika even had a space suit specially designed for her. Thanks to her, it could be proved that it was possible for an organism to survive microgravity conditions, marking the beginning of human participation in spaceflights. This trip turned Laika in one of the most famous dogs of the world. She has appeared in many books, mostly fantasy and science fiction books, that relate stories about her rescue or her survive to the space ship, as well as in tv series like "Dr Who" or "Flash Gordon" Her name is the title of songs from very known music groups (The Cradigans, Mecano..) and the videoclip "Moan" from Trentemoller is a tribute to her.
